So it’s summer again and what do you drink with your books in the summer , the first picture is a cocktail Amanda and I had last summer my Mojoito is maybe a perfect summer drink . I love short Novellas , like I said in yesterdays post for The red collar that was a perfect summer book for me that books is one between 120 and 180 pages in length not too deep and not too light (I’m not a beach read fan ) .So for you in those sunny evenings is it a Cocktail , beer , wine or just spirts you have next to the pile of books you are reading ? What books are you drawn to in the summer ?
What’s best to drink with that summer reading ?

Oh Mojitos work for me… and a Margarita or 3! Pimms too… So nice when fruit can be added to tick the ole 5 a day box 😁
It’s very novel for me not to have a study orientated summer reading list… As I won’t be travelling anytime soon I’m using WIT next month to widen my horizons vicariously

I like either a cold beer or a dry red wine. Depends on what I am reading and how hot the weather is!

Beyond the occasional beer I am not a drinker, so I opt for iced coffee on a hot day, the regular hot stuff when it’s cool. I love to read in coffee shops.

i’m pretty much a tea drinker regardless the weather. Sunday morning it might be a decaf latte made with almond milk, but not often.

A cold white wine is my preference, though perhaps not for reading as it’s more likely or not to put me to sleep. White wine for summer socialising, water for reading!! Haha. (Oh, or perhaps coffee. Like rough ghosts, I love to read in cafes).

I have been participating in your Spanish Literature Month this July, so I thought I would explore Spanish wines to accompany this project.
I`m having a very fine time sampling a nice glass of chilled white wine whilst I read on the patio in the warm evenings.
