#translationthurs -a twitter day for the world

I like people on twitter to try to suggest a translated book on Thurs every week ,a bit like #fridayreads ,but one day to highlight the latest books out ,old favourites or even a translator you enjoy reading .Hopefully getting everyone to maybe choose one more book to read would be great ! As ever I just want highlight books from around the world for everyone the more we read the more that will get translated ! so this thursday tomorrow please suggest one book for #translationthurs .

Hi, Stu, stumbled on you in the twittersphere, and I really like this idea! I’ll add a book tomorrow.
It so happens we’re setting up a new not-for-private-profit publisher for international contemporary fiction – and a big thing we want to do is also get debate going around some highly recommended and untranslated books. We’ll have a whole bunch of tipped authors and extracts in English going up on our website soon – and readers’ groups on goodreads’ online forums.
Be great to be in touch, Stu, and here what you and others think should be published!

Great idea, Stu. I’ll mention this in the blog post I’m working on right now, which should be up soon!
